Williams system 11 lighting

I'm working on a big guns here and I'm pretty sure I have this one issue narrowed down but would like insight from someone who knows more about it than me........ I have a few lights out which are all on the same light matrix line, (6x,BB right, and a few others) these lights come and go it seems I've gone over everything on the playfield and checked all diodes and continuity back up to the pcb, removed the pcb and reflowed everything in that circuit as well as changed the diode incase it was breaking down...... Only thing left is the 2 transistors and resistor ........ The resistor checks ok ..... Has anyone ever seen a failure like this come and go ???? It's acting like a bad connection or something but I've gone over all that a few times already ...

How does the harness connector look? Those harness connectors (not the pins on the board) are notorious for burning up or failing. Nearly every system 3 machine I have had (all except Police Force) have had lighting issues caused by bad connectors.

I actually had that apart too and took the connector out of the plug cleaned the inside good, tweaked it a but so it grabs and wipes real tight on the pin then put it back in the plug as well as cleaned the pin on the board real good ......plug was find and not heated up at all...... Only place I had a burned plug was the jumper board going to the bb which I also repaired those wires unrelated to these light issues

Police force is a system 3? dam i've been looking at the wrong schematics all along lol.

I found the prob .... The diode that controls that matrix line must have been broke internally ...... With pressure on it the line would work even after I reflowed it ..... I replaced that diode and it's ok now ....... Only thing not working is the big bulb under the invincible target under the play field in front if the flippers ... Bulb tests good
