Williams speaker cover mesh...

I found some at home depot for my moon patrol...looks great!!!

I believe I have one complete speaker panel in great shape, has speaker, brackets, etc. $25 plus shipping. Not replacement material, but it would work :)

I'd like to find some of this as well. I have looked at the speaker cover material, but unless you get it very tight and almost stretch it, it will start to sag after awhile. Windows screen netting is close, but again, you have to get it very tight and even the metal stuff will sag due to the weight of it.
Does anyone know the real name of the product that Williams used? If I could find it in metal, that would be even better.
Any names to look for?

someone had ordered some in the past and was going to make it available to ppl on here.

I need a replacement for the one on my Joust so if someone finds a good source let me know

I think I found a solution. I found this "Pet" resistant screen material for doors and windows at HD that has thicker strands than normal screen replacements and is pretty damn close. It comes in a huge role and is $16.

I made a couple of these out of metal that look beautiful. I have blanks cut out to make many more but never got around to finishing the project. I guess it will be a good wintertime project for me.

Where did you get the metal mesh material?

This stuff works great. I've re-covered a few Williams speaker grills with it (Joust, Robotron, Moon Patrol). It's easy to stretch, and staple down.

You can find it at ACE Hardware.

i have it sourced, but the original is a heat formed part, where it goes up and around the edges of the speaker panel. I was looking and having a die made, and using a shop press to stamp new ones out of steel. I have 2 or 3 of these grilles, and they are all broke.

I still have a bunch of cabs to do, then do the APB seats (i haven't forgot!) then i could revisit this. I planned on doing these so i can include them with my williams cabinets. I could always sell the grilles too though.

Here is a picture of one of them I made from steel. I have the material to make a bunch more just been putting it off.
