Thanks for looking.
I got a Williams Sinistar that currently does not work. The Power Board connection was all burned up.
So I picked up a 2nd power board and plugged it in.
1st board as LED 1 and 2 lit, but NO 3.
2nd board has LED 2 and 3 lit, but NO 1.

I've never worked on a Williams before so any thoughts on what the issue may be or where to start?
I know I am getting HV to the monitor.

Simple fix??

Replace any bad pin headers, replace the harness connectors (if they looked fried) and install a rebuild kit in which ever board you want to keep. So long as the connections are tight and the parts are good on those boards they are pretty solid. Those IDC connectors were garbage 30 years ago and they are even worse now. Replace them with Trifurcon(sp?) pins and new connectors.

Oh, and repair any cold solder you find.

Cool. Thanks for the help. I saw that arcadeshop.com has a replacement power supply for Williams. I may go that route too!

Only downside to those is that the CMOS memory on the CPU can get corrupted but the instant on +12 and your high score table will end up being a mess. Its not a deal killer but some guys dont like it.

Don't go that route for Williams games as you can run into problems as mentioned above. Rebuild your current power supply. It's not that difficult. If you can't do it, there are a few members here that can do it for you.

And honestly, those supplies are super easy to rebuild. And theres no worry about getting your ass zapped off like on a monitor chassis! LOL!
