It looks like it is from Arch Rivals. If it is you should find a paper tag on it with part number C9471. On the circuit board by the Williams logo you willl find number 5772-10068. This is the same part number as Sinistar, but Sinistars came with a red ball handle.

Its for a sinistar or a bubbles, bubbles has a blue handle though.

The Bubbles optical joystick was 8 way. The Arch Rivals and Sinistar are 49 way. They are not interchangeable.

Sounds like thus is rare and uber valuable. Price just went up!
:)
Bubbles optical joystick = very uber rare. Sinistar (red handle) = very rare. Arch Rivals (orange joystick) = uncommon. They show up all the time on eBay mislabelled as Sinistar joysticks. (current ebay link)

Bubbles can be used with a 49-way right?

I rather doubt it. If you go to the switch diagnostic screens in Bubbles and Sinistar, the Bubbles screen shows no joystick switches on when it is centered. The Sinistar screen shows 3 switches on when it is centered.

49 way will NOT work in a Bubbles, I have personally tested it.
