OK, that is really weird...I'd never heard of this until last night doing a late-night ebay scan for Williams games and now it pops up. Gorgeous looking! Is it fun? Decent gameplay?

Defender

Looks to be all original and plays. Does need a CPO. They are asking $700

It is a really cool looking cabinet and all original....minus a missing fuse holder cap. It is a couple inches less narrow than the standard Williams cab like Robotron or Joust. The game itself is pretty cool....you are what looks to me to be the elder elf racing the younger elves through obstacles like water and attacking trees.

So confused. So, is someone local to you selling this now? Or did you buy it? Or are the game shots a post from 2008?

This is my game...just picked it up from a local craigslist add....trying to figure out what I have after I noticed it had prototype labeled roms and had the words SAMPLE on each of the boards.

More and more of a gem the more show of it. What a fantastic score. Value IMO is $5000-7000. But I always highly value the rarest of games as they should be.

Yup. Proto ROMs and possible 3rd cab made (I doubt the 1003 serial means just that as they didn't make 1,000 of these).

Either way, you just made a nice little investment that you can enjoy while waiting for it to sell.

Outstanding.

the proto roms is nothing special (unless they are different than the productions ones). many Williams low production games shipped with proto roms. I have seen that on Star rider, turkey shoot, MM, joust 2 and even nba jam. Usually they just burned 2 or 4 eproms to upgrade them to the final version and left the proto ones on the pcbs if they needed no change.

As for the game, its not that great. Its interesting, but its way too easy. I used to get tired of playing it. I am sure you will get big coin for it if it goes for sale. But the game is no where near the likes of robotron. Use it to get something you really want. any vid or vids or a pretty good pinball.

Before you unload it, maybe make it available to have artwork scanned. I sold mine long before people were interested in that, I would think today, people would want to recreate it. The main difference in this MM is that the monitor bezel is screened glass. The kits had plexi. Also take a look at the joystick. I think it may have had an optical 8 way joystick.

As I said in my other General Discussion thread.....Here are some more pics.....to all those showing interest I have not decided what I'm doing with the MM as of yet. Most likely I will sell it for either cash or a high end pinball, but again not real sure at this point. Also I'm still waiting to here from Kristina D to hear her thoughts.
