NEW Williams Mystic Marathon dedicated cab Prototype

Stop it! Please, you are KILLING me! :) Seriously though, such an amazing find. Proof that the gems are still out there, waiting to be found.

when I found mine it was dumb luck. Newspaper ad for arcade game for sale and it was close enough to my home where I decided to drive over to see what it was. Somewhere I have 35mm pics of it, but I think I scanned 3 pics and posted them here a long time ago.

As I said in your other thread, I sold mine long before people were interested in it (15-20 years ago) and it want for quite a bit. Today, it would be $5k+ easy.

Its not that good of a game. I would get tired of playing it (I hate games like that never end and your death is sort of random). So play it, decide for yourself, and then pass it along to a museum or an insane collector. Use it to get a few games you care about or a really nice pin.

Can you post some pics of the full on side art?

Really cool find.

Here are some more pics.....to all those showing interest I have not decided what I'm doing with the MM as of yet. Most likely I will sell it for either cash or a high end pinball, but again not real sure at this point. Also I'm still waiting to here from Kristina D to hear her thoughts.

Lots of good pics but no story behind the CL pickup? Who had it? What's it' history? How did you manage to snag it before anyone else? ... LOL

The story goes....I was searching through my local craigslist near Allentown, Pa. and I search 5 or 6 neighboring cities. I usually just type in "arcade" and see what pops up....but for some reason I decided to type in "Williams", maybe because I was looking at my Robotron at the time...who knows!

Well all kinds of things popped unrelated to arcades but there was one post that simply read "Mystic Marathon game". In his description he wrote not working but solid and added the word Williams cabinet.

I called the guy and went up the next day to see the game. It did not power on so I offered him half of his asking price. I left without the game. He said he would have to talk it over with his grandfather who was a retired local operator.

That night I texted him and asked what he found out....he said he would meet me in the middle and I drove up the next day and brought her home!

Crazy lucky pick up!!! Just awesome- congrats!

Has Yellowdog chimed in on this yet? I think he and mrbill were the two members that I remember having them.

Thank you to all those that shared an interest in Mystical Marathon but it is now off the market. Sold to a private collector whom wishes to keep the sale price and identity private.

I bet it was Tim Tuckey keeping it private so his wife doesn't find out [emoji1]

Yellowdog worked for Williams and actually worked on the Mystic Marathon team.

there was an extensive dialogue in a FB group about this including Ken and Kristina. Alan are you going to share any of the historical content learned?

Which FB group?
