Williams Joust - Sound is Intermittent, any thoughts?
Taking a breather from another project that's beating me at the moment and for which I am awaiting parts. I could use some solid points on the board men!
I have a Joust that is playing fine. Everything is operating normally in game play except sound. The machines here are usually powered off entirely for the majority of the week and then powered on for weekends, company, etc. I've noticed that it stops producing sounds after it's been on for an hour or so. The sound works fine everytime when its initially powered up.
I concluded it was bad solder on the input header pins resulting from heat expansion/contraction and reflowed only those. (I'm still learning this stuff so I didn't want to blindly go to town on it).
Anyone have any troubleshooting tips or anyplace I should reflow?
