The bottom of my cabinet is chewed up really bad when I got it. How much is bottom recessed. I need to know how much to add back because I cut it off smooth with the bottom.
Thanks, Scott

I did exactly this. PM me if you want me to check tonight. Mine had rough edges at bottom. I used a straight guide and cut them off exactly flush with bottom of bottom panel. I replaced the blocking cut slots for biscuits, and glued up same width, same size plywood pieces, edge to edge, with biscuits and Titebond glue. I think this is the only way to fix the bottom edges, if you're doing a repaint. The repair will be invisible.

Hey joeycuda,
Thanks for the reply. Man your Joust looks great. You did a great job. I have went through the inside and now the body work. I didn't have a good place to measure it, but I was guessing about 2 inches. Where did you get your stencils?
Thanks for your help.
Scott

Stencils are from gamestencils.com

Can you post a close up pic of your Joust Cuda?

I have one that i'll need to restore..but part of that process removes the wood grain. Wanted to see a restored one with smooth sides.

Thanks!
