I'm not sure if this has been posted before and I'm no pinball expert by any means, but I just went to Disneyland this past weekend and saw they had a Williams IJ in the gift shop in front of the IJ ride.

Unfortunately, it was out of service, but I noticed that the build looks really different than the standard one I'm used to seeing. Is this a limited edition one, something they made specially for Disney or Disney just customized it themselves?

Either way, awesome pin that I hope to own someday. :)

It's been there for about 18 years. The custom work is very cool but the game is really rough. It's held up pretty well though for having 5 million plays on it.

Yeah, I noticed it there a few years back. Sometimes it's there, sometimes, it's gone. I have seen it probably four or five times that I can remember and it was never working.

But, yeah, it looks really cool.

Wow, I go to Disneyland every year and never really noticed it. Haha. Though, I usually don't go into that gift shop.

Maybe I'm just remembering it's there now because I now look out for games/pins wherever I go. And now that I know what the standard one looks like, it sort of stood out to me.

Actually there are two of them that they rotate into that location. Yes Disney did "Disneyfy" the games for that location so that they would fit the jungle-adventure theme of the area, I do like the way they look with the bamboo legs. When I was there in Sept last year it was gone, glad to hear that one is back on location.

btw, I'd kill to have that IJ from DL.

It's pretty beat up though, the playfield was pretty worn and tired and the flippers needed rebuilding. Glad to see it back - as others have mentioned, it's always in and out of there (probably for service)...

Here's another game that as "Disneyfied". I own it and basically had to restore the monitor, yoke and solidified the PS.

Dude, that's awesome. I'm guessing it was in the Starcade at some point. In all honesty, I like the original sideart better, but that's a great piece of Disney/arcade history. :)

Yes, as others have said it has come and gone over the years. When I was there a couple years ago I think it was gone at the time, or I went to the wrong gift shop. My girlfriend and I checked all the ones near the ride.

I'll be honest with you... I love the look of that thing, and would love to do something similiar to an IJ someday. That's about the only major "modding" I would do on any game.

What do the sides look like. Im interested in maybe trying to make one of these. I think it would sell fast.

I bet I could talk my boss into letting me do one which sounds like a fun project.

im close to disneyland, just need to renew my annual pass. just sucks because they keep upping the prices!

this would be such a cool pin cab to repro. i know there are other socalers that go to disney quite often. maybe one of them could take some up close pics of this indie pin. it looks cool in pics, but even more impressive in person! chris

Actually, I'm going to be there the weekend and part of the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend. I'm going to be in San Diego thursday-sunday of that week/weekend for a dental meeting. And I'll DEFINITELY be hitting Flynn's Arcade and taking tons of pics. I already have 100 tokens, but I feel the urge to buy more...

cool..... sounds like your gonna have a great trip. make sure to stop by the store D-STREET in downtown disney. they always have a cool selection of tron and star wars swag. are you taking the kids to legoland too??

Yeah, my wife might take them while I'm in a meeting all day. I've never been to San Diego before, so I don't want to miss the Zoo or Sea World. I don't think it'll kill me to miss Legoland.
