My coin door, bumpers, sling shots and possibly the radar detector lights are not working any idea where to look all the other lights appear to be working. I checked all the fuses I could find they were all good.

Trace the wires back. I am not sure, but I would bet that they are all on the same string and you have a wire disconnected somewhere. Do you have a manual to look at the wiring matrix?

The lights work off a matrix method. A transistor going out on the driver board would result in all lights going out in either the X or Y of the switch matrix. Look in your manual or download one, and see if all the lights that are out are in the same column or row of the switch matrix. If so, and there is no wire disconnected, you have a transistor(s) out on the driver board.

check your plugs on the board i bet they are burnt if not i bet its a bad connection . If you look at the plugs and they appear fine push on them to see if the lights flicker. If both of these dont work it could be a transistor .

Okay I researched the advise given in this thread and have came to the conclusion that the lights I have out are not listed in the matrix. That leads me to believe it is the general illumination circuit that is not working, would this be a problem with the power supply or the cpu board? or could it still be either? I have the main cpu board pulled out and can find no sign of a problem all the lights that are out trace back to the power supply area but I have to assume the cpu board still tells the power supply when to turn these lights on? There was a big burn area on the board around a transistor that covered lots of parts I thought that was the problem but the transistor had been changed and all the parts that looked toast still tested good. So I'm back to square 1.

Not sure what you are referencing by radar detector lights but all the others should be GI lights. So I would start with checking fuses but that is probably not it since some of the GI is working. It most likely is one of the GI wires or the GI connector on the power board. The connectors on the GI can become bad so you might have a wire loose for one string. I think that is the 3J8 and 3J4 connectors on the power supply board but would have to chase the wires for sure.

The radar detector lights work I had just not found the right sequence to turn them on yet, the coin door, pop bumpers, sling shots and a couple of others do not light. I assume you confirmed these are general Illumination, by referring to them as GI? So should I put the main board back in and pull the power supply? I already checked all the connectors and they appear fine. The power supply has been hacked up with bad repairs so I know it needs work but I thought for sure with the visible damage on the main board that was going to be the problem but everything there appears to be working. Does the relay on the ps go bad? that was my instinct from reading the manual but it could be it's just not getting juice instead of being bad.

Yes by GI I meant the general illumination circuits. I was lucky with the high speed I found and all of its issues ended up being either wiring or blow/shorted components under the playfield. So I did not have to work on boards or get any boards repaired/replaced and none of them were hacked (very lucky from what I now see). I am no expert by any means on those boards but yes I have read that the relays on the power supply do go bad. You may want to check the voltage on the pins of the power board for each of the GI circuits as I thought the relay controlled all of them at once so it might be a loose/broken wire somewhere if some of the circuits work and not all.

update

Okay so I got the left side slings and coin door lit up, it was a fuse despite it testing good in circuit last night I took all the fuses out and replaced them with new ones and tested the old ones and there was one bad, it also lit up some areas I didn't know were out. Which also showed me I'm missing more lights then I thought. So I'am still missing the right sling shot, all the pop bumpers, and all the area next to the pop bumpers on the right side.

Well I opened up mine to stare for a bit and if some of the GI comes on but not all then I would start the painful task of tracing those wires off the power board 3J8 connector though first you may want to make sure all those pins have the correct voltage. If you don't have the manual with schematic go to ipdb and download it. It may help in the tracing.

This probably does not help all that much as it is only a starting point on a long road.
