Williams Defender/ Joust/ Stargate Cocktail/ Cabaret Joystick Rebuilding Service

Hi all,

If you want your joystick to work like new again then this service is for you. Right now I will replace the shaft and the roller pins for the joystick. This will eliminate wobbly joysticks and make your stick perform like new. I have allowed for very little play so that the stick will not rub at all. These parts are made from hardened steel and will last for many years to come. I have hooked up with a local machine shop over the past month to do the performed work. Send in your sticks with your return info to be 1st on the list !

See the pics below of the old assembly and the new assembly.

Phase 1- What the service will include:
- New roller pin steel assembly
- New pins added (2)
- New e-clip for joystick
- New washer for joystick

I took 2 pics of the parts replaced but one is a little blurry- sorry but I tried.

If the base is in terrible shape then wait for phase 3.

In phase 2- I will be having the joystick shaft rebuilt and have new screw on ball tops added. For now I am only accepting order for the above phase 1 services. I will need at least 10+ joysticks mailed to me in order to start the rebuilding process. I have yet to get a price for phase 2 but it will be coming soon.

Phase 3-
Have the bases remaufactured to new

Questions Below:

What games is this service for?

- Defender Cabaret and Cocktail Assemblies
- Stargate Cabaret and Cocktail Assemblies
- Joust Cocktail Assemblies
--------------------------------------------------------
- Other Williams cocktail unit assemblies ???
- Maybe others but I am not sure- maybe someone can confirm this for me

Why am I offering this service?
I am sooooo tired of playing my games with a wobbly worn out joystick assembly. I honestly could not play my stargate cabaret as my stick was sooo loose. I wanted to give back to the arcade word and preserve classic games for everyone. :D

How much will the phase 1 service cost?
$30 each assembly plus priority mail shipping + delivery confirmation+ paypal 3% fee
Total will be $38 with return priority shipping included or $35 with 1st class shipping. Add $3 for each additional stick for shipping

my paypal id ----> [email protected]

How long will the process take?
I figure about 3-4+ weeks. I will keep everyone updated so you will know about when you will receive your item back from production. Understand that the more stick assemblies I have the faster I can get them rebuilt.

How do I take out the assembly from my unit?
Simple - Remove the leaf switch assembly (the 2 screws). Next loosen up the 4 screws for the assembly. Remove the e-clip. Pull out the joystick. Re- insert the joystick in the assembly with the e-clip. Should take a few minutes to remove. Mail it out.

How will the package be mailed back?
USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation

I take paypal and I also have my own company (Islandstorks.com) credit card terminal.

I WILL NEED AT LEAST 10 ASSEMBLIES TO GET THEM ALL REBUILT. THE MORE I RECEIVE THE FASTER I CAN GET THE WORK DONE

I can send you 2 for my Joust cocktail. One question, if you want the whole assembly sent back, are the holes for the joys cut in for the specific sticks we send? If not, why not just sell the assembly and have the end user just put the stick back in?

Either way I need 2 as mine are fairly rusted and one is really not operational. Not sure if you want me to send these rusty parts to you. If it comes down to it, I would probably take a couple extra bases as well.

I am replacing the roller pin assembly and pins only for phase 1. Its the assembly that the joystick slides into and swivels back and forth. In phase 3 I will try to get the entire bases remanufactured. The bases are ususally in very good shape. It has taken me a month to get phase 1 completed but another few weeks and phase 2 will be completed then on to phase 3 and I'll sell the entire assembly with stick and all new.

The reason I am stating to send in the joysticks is that I have to verify if the holes are the same for each game if so then I will tell the members not to send it the joystick. I'll post it once I receive each games stick. I already have verified stargate so I do not need the joystick sent it for this game just the assembly.

If you are ready to order then please send in your assemblies and I 'll add you to the first 10 members on the list

It will be $68 shipped priority mail w delivery confirmation for 2 assemblies rebuilt.

This is why I was wondering about the bases.

I *may* be able to clean it up and use it, but most likely will need to replace it. This is the player 1 side. The player 2 side is ok and will be useable. I cand send you just the player 2 one for sizing and send back one for the player 1 side as well. PM me info on where to send.

You are right that base is really rusted. If the rusted base is solid send it in and I'll rebulit it. You can also wait for phase 3 when I get the new bases remanufactured if its in terrible shape. It may clean up well with a wire brush.
You are orders #1 and 2 on my list

Thanks
