Hi, hoping someone can help me out with this. I have searched the net and KLOV for the answers and just am not finding what i need.
I have a new harness made by Dokert in my Sinistar Duramold and need to wire up the coin door to the harness, as mine was hacked out. I am wondering if anyone has the pinouts for the 15 pin Plug.
Thanks to YellowDog for correcting me on Pin #'s

cdplug.jpg

The wires on the plug are as follows
1- Yellow
2-White/Yellow
3-RED
4- Black/Orange
5- Not Connected
6- Black/Orange
7- Not Connected
8- Yellow/White
9- White/Green
10- White/Blue
11- White/Purple
12- White/Grey
13- Black/Orange
14- Green
15- Blue

If someone could help me out to where each pin connects, I sure would appreciate it.
Thank you kindly.
Ken

i added a 2nd picture (that i missed the first time as well) it's got a couple more wires. here's a picture of the harness i greatfully received from another klov'r here.

i can grab some more pictures just let me know if you need them (i know these don't show the connector but they do show the wires and colors going to their locations).

Fantastic! That helps alot! I will print those off and sit down and try and figure out everything from them. Still learning to fully read schematics etc. LOL

Your last picture reminded me i need to find a test switch assembly, I have new switched from Bob Roberts but dont have the bracket. LOL always something else isnt it.

Thanks again!
Ken

Here is what i read from the schematics. Seems most of the colors now line up properly to each pin, thanks to YellowDog correcting me on what pin is #1 in a Molex Plug. :)
A few of the colors vary, but its way closer now that I have the proper pin #1.

Schematics Read

1- Yellow - Coin Door Light
2- White/Yellow - Coin Door Light
3- Red - Coin Lockout
4- Brown/Grey - Coindoor Lockout
5- NC
6- Green/Brown - Coin Door Switches
7- NC
8- Yellow/White
9-White/Green
10- White/Blue
11- White/Violet
12- White/Grey
13- White - Diagnostic Switches
14- Green
15- Blue -

If someone could help with the actual pinouts from the plug it would be awesome.
Thank you in advance.

Looks like my Coin Door is a Coinco 2802.
So a little different then your coin door it would seen.
Anyone know the wiring for this door?

Somebody either hacked the whole thing or it was never a Williams coin door. You will need to rewire the whole thing to match a Williams coin door. It is not hard, just time consuming.

Also in your picture, the Molex plugs are numbered:

13 10 7 4 1
14 11 8 5 2
15 12 9 6 3

The way you know which one is pin 1 is the corner that has the 2 notches on the two sides:

this is exactly how my Defender coin door was. I had no harness left on the coin door side though, everything was scalped off. I was asking Broodwich things about it and he was like "dude that's an Atari door". I find that unusual if Williams sourced Atari coin door inerts (the brass part) or that you and I have the same exact kinds of door, even with that "TESTED BY" sticker lol

I wound up replacing ALL the wiring on my door and I had to fabricate my own test switch assembly since the assholes even pulled the entire bracket off.

before: (electrical tape everywhere!)

and I apparently didn't take a whole door picture, but here's my test panel that I made from like an extra MK2 or KI one I had:

Okay, Im feeling like a dumb ass right now, but i figure better to ask and find out then not.
I just looked at the schematics and found them kind of confusing. The colors according to the schematics don't seem to line up with the actual colors in my harness. Dokert uses the original wire colors, but i have to say I am confused.
Here is what the schematics said :

1- Yellow - Coin Door Light
2- White/Yellow - Coin Door Light
3- Red - Coin Lockout
4- Brown/Grey - Coindoor Lockout
5- NC
6- Green/Brown - Coin Door Switches
7- NC
8- Yellow/White
9-White/Green
10- White/Blue
11- White/Violet
12- White/Grey
13- White - Diagnostic Switches
14- Green
15- Blue -

It is much better to ask a question if you are unsure, then to really screw something up.

Thank you for that info! Its good to know what pin is #1 as I had no idea and was just winging it.
Thanks!!! :)

That is rather odd about the coin door. I referenced it to pictures I have of other Duramold games and they have the same Coinco coin door in them as this one, so its a stock door for the Duramold. Sucks your door was stripped as bad as mine, wish people wouldn't do crap like that!
Would you happen to have any notes or anything laying around with what wire went where?

Thanks :)
Ken

So very very true! I had done what searching i could do before asking it, as I had hoped i could find the information but wasn't very successful.
I am wanting to try and do this restore as good as I possible can.

Thanks to everyone for all the help. It is gratefully appreciated.
Ken

Did you get this worked out?

I recently ended up with a Sinistar myself that has the same coin door and the wiring was some what messed up and this is what I figured out:

1- Yellow - Coin Door Light
2- White/Yellow - Coin Door Light
3- Red - Coin Lockout coils, I left unconnected
4- Brown/Grey - Coindoor Lockout coils, also left unconnected
5- NC
6- Green/Brown - Coin Door Switches common, also high score reset
7- NC
8- Yellow/White - slam switch on door - I left it not connected
9-White/Green - center coin switch, unconnected since there is no center mech
10- White/Blue - left coin switch
11- White/Violet - high score reset
12- White/Grey - right coin switch
13- White - Diagnostic Switches common (Advance and Auto up)
14- Green - Advance switch
15- Blue - Auto up switch

ALSO, make sure you check the coin door connector on the ROM board as well. I found on mine that the wires were messed up there - it is odd since they look OEM, but the slam switch, right coin and high score reset wires on mine are not as shown in the diagram. I ended up relocating the wires in the Molex connector as I don't see an easy way of removing the wires from the connector for the ROM board.

I haven't figured out where the counter meter hooks up just yet and have to troubleshoot the ROM board as the right coin switch is not coining up.
