These guys sell some nice repro coin door inserts for Williams (and others) at $2 each:

(about half way down you'll find them, part # PLAS-COIN)
I like these:

However, you can't buy just these inserts... you have to buy a playfield or full plastics set too, and I don't need anything else they have. :(
I just need a couple "Quarters" ones for my Defender.
I'm hoping someone out there is planning on ordering from these guys and can pick up some of these inserts for me (and maybe others?) That would rock....

Pinball Resource has repro "Quarters" inserts too, and there's no minimum order requirement. See http://www.pbresource.com/CoinDoor.html. They're more expensive, but.

PS. I was looking at the "Free Play" and "Williams" ones above and wondering if they'd work in a Defender silver door. You'd have to remove the metal plate that sits in front of the inserts or they'd be partly obscured, but if you did that, wouldn't the cut-off lower left-hand corner show?

Yeah, I saw those... $5.25 each. If I ever put in another PBR order I might just add a couple of those in....

Good point... I hadn't thought of that. I'll probably just stick with the Quarter ones anyway. Although I had thoughts of putting the Williams one in the center position (my silver door just has a blank metal plate there, no logo).

I might do a test on mine and see if the clipped corner would show. I quite like the look of the red "Williams" one too.

Year-old thread resurrection....
I've got the coin door inserts, but I'm still looking for a metal logo plate for the center position, like this one:

Anybody have one of those? I've got a metal plate there, but the logo is gone.... Does anyone make a Williams logo decal like that?

Bumping an old thread from Matt. Not sure if he ever found one but I'm looking for one now. Please let me know if they are available or if you have one.

Thanks

I ended up trading a nice original dollar coin insert for a couple repro quarter ones with someone on here. For the logo plate, I eventually stumbled upon an eBay auction for one (I wasn't aware of the repros).

Did anyone find that S/S "Williams" center plate for the S/S coin door??
Been searching around with no luck....
Thanks
Jeff
