Hey Everybody, I just wanted to post my latest creation.

When I bought this Stargate cabinet, it was a Merrit Industries Pit Boss conversion. I decided to decommission the Pit Boss and dress up the cabinet as a Williams Blaster and take it to the Southern Fried Arcade Expo 2017.

Special thanks to Edwin at https://www.escapepodonline.com/ for the wonderful service and quality product on the CPO, marquee, and bezel.

Using a brand new Vision Pro in it and JAMMA setup so I can use either a JROK or 19in1 to run the Blaster game.

Hope y'all get to play it if your are planning to attend the Southern Fried this year.

Is that a standard 8-way or the midway style of 49-way stick ? I like the action on the midway-49 it's smoother than classic WMS stick ( although someone will shout "authenticity" at me :)

James, it is just a Happ Super 8 way right now.

I may try a 49-way Happ joystick in there if I can harvest one out of my parts storage.

Also got a 49-way Arch Rivals joystick I could try.

Looks good! Is the bezel something new they don't have listed on the site yet? I don't see that as an available product.

Thanks. It is a standard Robotron bezel. I could have used Stargate, Defender, or generic bezel, but I liked the Robotron bezel the best.

There is one jpeg image for a Blaster bezel available on the Internet, but it is 1280x1238 and it would need a lot of work and cleaning up to make a good print.

If I find a printable Blaster bezel image, I would definitely swap it out.

Bravo! Love it...the world needs more Blaster.

Did you attempt the side art??

I thought about getting the same blaster logo from the marquee graphic printed on vinyl and putting it on the sides, then hand stenciling the grid pattern both above and below the Blaster logo.

Right now it just has solid color navy blue sides. I may tackle the side art at a later date.
