Many may or may not know that, for the most part, the cabinets for midway and Atari games (blitz, NBA, mk, etc), were made in the same factory as Williams and Bally pinball cabinets from that era. They would use the scraps of reject cabs to finish up or brace the interior of cabs that were approved for sale.
Today I was working on what was a Wayne Gretzky 3d cab, when I noticed some cab scraps bracketing the interior cash door area. One scrap was from an Attack from Mars pin, the other from a Safecracker!
Oh, if they only knew then that they had torn apart $10000 in pinball cabinets to make a game that is barely worth $500 lol
