yeah I always recognize it now before clicking on it, but just to be sure I am right I click on it and fuck, yep same old shit. hahahahhahahaha

That falls solidly into the 'I hope someone preserves this piece of history, but that can't be fun enough to be worth owning'. If it were local and $50 I might pick it up to make sure it doesn't get scrapped out, but I can't imagine who'd pay $190 for it.

we use those types of machine around here for drinking games. I recently bought a similar unit for $300 and that was a deal. If you hand beats the bartender you get a free round, if you are the lowest you buy the round.

Somebody should pick it up and use it for a poker table. That's what it looks like anyway.

I was thinking if someone was really creative they could make it a warlords table put the monitor at an angle so that each corner of a castle points to a player. I just know I'm not that ambitious.

I just wonder about the mindset of people who just post the same thing over and over like that, hoping that something will change. Although to be fair, I think he has come down on the price a bit over the years. Then there's this guy who posts the $10 Pac-Man arcade game which is the little hand-held game you plug into the TV. He's been advertising that thing for years now I think. For $10. Really?

Its easy to spot the "cocktale" table when skimming CL. He had it at $250 for the longest time. I guess $190 is a total deal!

I contacted that guy . I said I'll come pick it up , thinking it was an upright . I asked him alot of questions , like is there any stairs , can I pull my truck up right next to the game to load it . He said no its the small one and on my kitchen counter . I then was thinking what is this guy selling , told him to send me pictures but he never did .

It's just crazy to me that he's so persistent about it. Or maybe he has a garage full of the things and he's slowly unloading them all. And don't even get me started on the Smartcycle things.

I haven't been checking craigslist and I talked to that guy like a year ago . If hes still trying to sell it , thats crazy !

I don't get it either. I understand pricing stuff high initially, but if you want to sell it, and it doesn't move at that price in 6 months, why the heck not drop the price and get rid of it? Heck, I just sell books and random junk on EBay/BGG/half.com and that's what I do - if it sits for too many weeks I drop the price, if it gets too low to be worth the effort, I give it to the church or whatever.

I don't know if he doesn't want to sell it, or can't bear to let it go cheap or what. It's just strange.

Well... some really don't HAVE to sell... they just WOULD sell for a specific price. That price is usually pretty much in excess of the item is worth.

Then there are those who don't want to sell... like a guy who runs ads with me. He runs his ad every other issue... and has... for over 2 years now... to sell his boat. He's put up a price so absurdly high that no one will ever bite. But he doesn't want to sell. He only advertises to appease his WIFE! He runs the ad... then can tell her "Honey... I'm ADVERTISING it... the market sucks!". So he spends $30 a month to run an ad.

He's more clear about what it is now. Is this the same guy?

I don't know if thats the same guy .

It was listed like " Pacman Arcade Game" and no pictures . So we went back and forth for awhile , with many emails ,

Do you still have it ?......Yes

Is it fully working all original ?.......Yes fully working all original

Can I come pick it up today ? .......Yes

Then he talks about how its the mini smaller version ,on his kitchen counter and some other details and I'm thinking , what the hell is he selling ? I asked for pictures but never heard back . I think he realized I thought it was an actual Pacman arcade game . I still don't know if it was a plug n play TV thing or what .

It was just a strange experience , I was disappointed it turned out to not be a real Pacman for cheap .

RE: Cocktale Table Video Arcade Game - $190
Dude. Do you have some form of retardation? You should be paying someone to take that pile of shit away to the dump. Also, WTF is a cocktale? A Tale of a Roster? Sounds like a really boring story.

Take the hint - no one wants this hunk of shit. No one wanted it at $250 for 10 weeks, $200 for 10 more weeks and now the great deal of $190 for who knows how many more weeks.

it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
