Will pay someone $150+parts/shipping to bulletproof my Amplifone
My 19" in my Star Wars works. I believe it's already had the flyback/HV replaced. The issues I've had are a brief flickering at times that I've documented here:
http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=150435
Additionally, I just noted a bright white spot yesterday that seems to wander at various points during the attract mode. I didn't leave it on long enough to document it, but can certainly post a video of it occurring if need be.
I've read all of the documentation regarding replacing caps, resistors, and diodes. My soldering skills just aren't up to it...or it will take me at least a week to do it. I'm going to attempt re-capping a WG7600 later this week, but that worries me less than the Amp. If anyone here is skilled/comfortable doing this, I'll gladly ship it to you, pay for parts and return shipping (which should hopefully be less than $30 if the HV/Flyback is good) and pay you $150. Anyone up to it?
Derek
BTW-I'd need this back by the first week of April...otherwise I'd just ship it off to Chad @ arcadecup.
