Will it Fit?

Toobin' = Just about. The hatch had to be tied down, as it would only close about 75%. (Large back seat removed and front passenger seat moved as far forward as possible)

Standard Size Pinball Machine = Just PERFECTLY. (Large back seat removed and front passenger seat moved as far forward as possible)

Standard Size Cocktail Machine = Will fit 2 wonderfully. (Both back seats removed.)

So, I'm wanting to go pick up that sweet Phoenix I posted about last week, but the trailer I was going to borrow is out-of-service at the moment.

Now, I read on a Craigslist ad one time that someone had successfully loaded a Ms. Pac UR into a PT, but I'm skeptical.

I plan to measure how much room I have with the rear seats removed and the passenger seat folded down into table mode, but has anyone ever seen an UR loaded into one of these things?

Unless it was a cabaret, I don't think it can be done.

I picked up a Pac Man cabinet 2 weeks ago and obsessively measured the interior of mine with the seats removed and the front seats forward. The center console makes it impossible, and there isn't enough headroom to make it work above the console without getting blocked in the back.

I ended up renting a truck. Much easier.

I just shoved a Defender into a Chevy Equinox. I think Phoenix is a little smaller, so it may work for you. The hatch on the Equinox is sloped, so I had to shove it further in to clear the glass than you would need to - I think the cruisers are more boxy in the back.

I would guess that it will fit. If it is a short trip, it will definitely fit if you strap it in and let a foot or so hang out the back.

I want to try to squeeze a game into my Scion xA one of these days - just so I can say I did it. :)

Get out a tape measure, here's the dimensions of a Phoenix upright from their flyer:

Height 71"
Width 26"
Depth 30"

Strap it in tight, secure the back door with a bungee cord.

This is a Ford Escape, but if the game juts out a bit from the PT, it should be fine as long as it's strapped in well.

There we go.

That'll probably be the best way to go about it. (At least till I get my own trailer.)

Yeah, it would close on a lot more cabs if it wasn't for that center console. I have gotten around it by putting the cab on it's side, moving the passenger seat up as far as possible, and facing the cab towards the passenger side of the car so the highest point of the cab goes behind the passenger seat and hopefully clears the center console enough that you can close the door.

Biggest cab I fit closed was a Blasteroids. Biggest without closing: Punch Out!! :D

I picked up a Stargate cab the other day in my Jeep Wrangler... took out the rear seat, unbolted the tailgate and left it at home, and all was well.

I think you can haul anything in any vehicle if you're resourceful!

you should have no problem leaving it hanging out the back as long as its strapped in good, bring some scotch tape and shoe laces and I dont see a problem.

Here's where I post my obligatory q*bert in a Prius pic, proving once again that anything is possible...
