I have a tube I can get from a 19" TV. TV is a Sharp "Linytron". Tube has a fat neck.
Tube appears to be of Trinitron/Blackstripe/Linytron/etc design (bars not dots).
I have not measured the resistance of the yoke yet.
I'd like to be able to use this in a G07, WG 4600, or WG 4900... though I could use a K7000 chassis as well, though I'd have to have a neck board for a fat neck tube (all of my K7000 series chassis are for the skinny neck tubes).
I don't know about transplanting 'bars' tubes into these old monitors. I would assume that if the tubes specs are ok, and the original yoke 'measures up', that it should work. I don't know if you can use a 'dot' yoke on a 'bar' monitor though.
Trying to determine if I should take this, or pass on it (it is free). I don't seem to bump into fat neck monitors often.
Thanks in advance for any info.
