There is a guy within a couple hours of me. Member on here actually selling a timbre machine. I want it. Don't have the cash, well don't want to part with the cash.

Should I expect my tempest to sell for $650? That's the price of his machine.

I should mention it works, cabinet is in good shape, monitor has the low voltage unit installed. I just changed the frame
mounted capacitors. looks pretty sweet.

I would say it would probably take a while to find a buyer at that price. I just bought one with a bad board for $200, so if I had to buy a new board, it would be up to $350 for a working game. Another KLOVer up here just bought a complete working one for $300. Both of these were from LA. I don't think $650 is out of line (more than I would spend, but I am both poor and cheap), but I would be surprised at a quick sale at that price given the current market.

Good luck though. I know games always sell for more (and sometimes less) than I would think they would sell for.

I'm not sure what the prices are like out there, but a nice tempest should pull that much or very close to it. It is one of the games that a bunch of people remember playing from back in the day so you get some wider appeal.

it's hard to say if it would sell quick at that price due to the economy right now, but i'd say it'd be worth it in the condition you listed it as. sell it b/o maybe, or if you really want the timber bad list it for $500.

Nice Tempest machines around mid-valley Oregon area are pulling in $700-$800. I've seen non-working ones or junked cabs with working boards run about $300-$500. So given that info, I think you'd sell it within 2 weeks around here.

I mean, heh, "we all know what these are worth"
heh I mean " they go on ebay for like $2000 all day long"

:O)

and I tend to agree, in this market, I could probably get that price, if I advertised it for a month, and the right guy found my ad.
If I want it sold in a week(which I don't necessarily) $450 probably, or less.

I may be wrong as tempest is a popular title but if a timber can't sell for $650 then I doubt a tempest will but who knows.

Everyone knows Tempest so you are going to probably have a better chance selling it then Timber imo. I have never sold a nice working Tempest for less then $600 although I have not sold one in a while.

Sorry Dylan Timber is already in the house. If you want something you gotta jump quick! I didn't pay 650.00 but fixed another game for him. Thanks to Skater you rock!

if it couldn't be me getting it, at least it's someone I know.
nice joe

Your always welcome at my place Dylan! I've been wanting a timber for awhile and after playing it a bunch at CAX I wanted it even more. I've been talking to Skater for awhile so it wasn't like I just bought it on a whim. Hope your not upset:)

no no. I actually had some cash and could have bought it. But I have gotten a bit excited about my bigger garage since I moved and am running out of room quickly. I definitely need to get a couple of games out to prepare for my tron, and I have a lead on another space duel I may be getting tomorrow.

Definitely never entered my mind to be upset. I am actually pretty happy, that you got it, and I will have a chance to play it.

late

Good luck on the crystal castles its pretty nice looking and 200 is a great price I payed 400 for mine yrs ago.
