Im potentially going to go pick up a San Francisco Rush Alcatraz and I would much rather take my mini van than my truck because it will probably be raining. Does anyone have pictures of what a seated racing game looks like loaded up in a truck or van so I can get an idea of how big it is?

I took one apart and it completely fit inside a 2005 Ford explorer.

pic is from around 2014 in my Dodge Dakota, I don't see this fitting in a minivan

Does the seat detach? How hard is it to take apart? Even if I take my truck Im afraid I wont be able to load and unload it completely assembled.

There are two versions of the cabinet, one where the seat comes off, and one where it doesn't.
You'll probably want to double check with the seller.

I managed to fit a Rush 2049 in my Dodge Caravan, but I had to take the seat off, and then separate the plastic seat off the wood base.

IF ITS A ONE PIECE CABINET:
Do yourself a favor... DON'T F AROUND. Rent a full size van, and ... you better have 3 grown men to load it. Two to lift the front half with the monitor and set it on the edge of the load deck, and 1 feller at the back to steady the cab and push. I loaded a 1piece cab in a pickup with one other person. It was a bitch. It almost got away from us... a 3rd person is REQUIRED. if you drop the cab, it WILL LIKELY break in the middle at the base right at the front of the coinbox. one of my cabs was broken there before I got it. it's not a very joyful repair to do.

IF ITS A TWO PIECE CABINET:
A mini van and two people will probably do it. Take the seat section loose and tilt the front section in(make sure the monitor and everything else inside is secure) like you would with an upright... push it forward and then load the seat section in. There is probably gonna be a hasp on the back that you need to remove so it's flat on the back. I also screwed 1x2 hardwood rails to the edges of the cab(parallel with the T-molding) on the front(the side where the door is) so that it had rails to slide on to make it easier.

Comparing the older cabinets to a 2049 cab is apples and oranges. the 2049 cab comes apart and has wheels under both parts. it's no different than loading any other UR at that point, except it is DAMN heavy!

I have two of each cabinet... SF rush Alcatraz x2 and 2049x2. aside from the weight of the 2049 cabs, the older one piece cabs are much more difficult to load and unload.

Holler back if you have any questions.

Can you tell from these pictures which one it is? I have a Toyota Tundra, but I think Id still want to take it apart if possible just to lift it. If its a one piece I might just have to pass based on even being able to unload it :/

That's an earlier one piece cabinet. It was converted to a Rush the Rock edition. The side art is from the original "extreme racing" release

I'm pretty sure the two piece cabinet was released with the original dedicated "Rush the Rock" editions. I don't think there were any "extreme racing" editions released in the 2 piece cab

How ridiculous or impossible would cutting or modifying it be? Has anyone done that? I feel like I can probably get it to my house, but I dont think I could even get it in my arcade in one piece. Is this jsut a fools errand? I guess that's why its such a good deal >.<

I wouldnt cut it. That opens a whole can of worms sticking it back together so that the cabinet wont sag. Also, if the base isnt left long enough, the monitor section will have a tendency to topple forward.

What challenges do you have getting it into your arcade? Stairs? Tight corner?

If you take off the seat(from the base part) and the green monitor shroud/marquee part and tip it forward onto its front it might be more manageable? I moved mine into my arcade that way. Rolled them in and then tilted them back down onto their base. If you have stairs, I would take the monitor out and dolly them down tilted up on their front... without that big heavy ass monitor in it, like other cabs, it will be more manageable. Just exercise caution handling the monitor... it is rather heavy.

Yeah the original Rush cabinets were 1 piece which as mentioned it appears that one is.

I personally would NOT cut it, but if that is the only way you can get it in your house, that may be your only option if you really want it. You'd have to be careful of the wires that run through there.

When I was shopping for a light gun cabinet I checked out a large showcase Maximum Force cabinet that was cut. In theory it was cool and the only way I could get it in my house, but when I saw it in person I dunno, I just did not like it like that, and I also knew if I ever wanted to get rid of it, it wouldn't be very attractive to someone else.

As @journeymandt said though, if you do get it, definitely move it without the monitor in there. I had to get 2 Rush 2049 cabinets into my basement and would never have been able to do it without taking the monitors out, an taking the seat off.

this is exactly how we loaded mine.
This is the safest way. I suppose 2 gorillas could load it by themselves... but by the time we(not gorillas) lifted the front up onto the truck(standard height 90s 2wd chevy) we had no leverage to get it the rest of the way in. One person holding the front steady and the other trying to lift the back and slide... we were both spanked at the end, and it almost got away from us and fell off the tailgate. Those cabs are heavy, awkwardly balanced, and large. Unless you have a lift gate or a low trailer with a ramp... 3 people are MANDATORY in my opinion... a 4th would be gravy... the biggest difference in using 4 people instead of 3 means a 12 pack yields one less beer for each after the game is moved.

I transported 2 Rush 2049 cabs in my pickup in one trip... the seat sections were separated from both. The first monitor section was tilted in on its back and slid in far enough to stand it back up. It took all 3 of us to stand it back up so we could tilt #2 in. The first one transported upright, the second on on its back, both shifted to one side. The seat sections loaded on the other. When I unloaded we tilted #2 out onto its feet. The first cab then got laid down on its back again and tilted out just like it went on. I had 5 people unloading, so gravy job there. The next time I moved them, I loaded them by myself... but I had a box truck with a lift gate that day... easy peasy.

Above all... extra help is MANDATORY to prevent personal injury or damage to the cabinet.

Truck is the smarter way to move it, unfortunately. Every SFRush I've moved, (Way over 10x by now) I've used a wide ramp I made to roll it up and into the bed. 3/4" 4x8 plywood sheet would work, but I would additionally attach some 2x4s or 2x4s under it to give it more strength. These things are not light at all.

You may or may not be familiar with the games, but assuming their rollers work, if they're on flat ground they are effortless to move in XY directions. It's the Z direction that is the killer.

I would also ABSOLUTELY anchor the top of the ramp to the tailgate somehow. (I use tiedown straps combined with mechanical ways of holding them, like little C clamps or hooks) If that ramp slides, you have just created a super dangerous physics situation.

Let me see if I can find some pics on my phone. They're on it somewhere, they're just not organized at all. And I have no idea what month/year I've moved a bunch of these at once. But I know that I've taken pics a few times, just to show easier ways of pulling it off.

Also a hydraulic lifting table can be your biggest ally. I load games into my Scion xB all the time with one of these Harbor Freight ones...

OMG I would kill for a liftgate on my truck. Cheapest I can find costs more than the truck is worth though lol
I knew the guy and told him if he ever wanted to sell it to let me know, he contacted me wanting to sell it and was asking $2k for it which I promptly paid, I think it was a 96, can't remember but it had a straight 6 that was kind of bullet proof with a manual transmission and everything worked. the reason I bought it was for the lift gate, I could have cared less what was the make it was attached to.

1300# liftgate and a weatherproof 14' box... makes everything a non issue.

I bought this thing cheap 18yrs ago. Put a crate diesel in it when I lost the OG 2yrs in... and had the transmission rebuilt about the same time. She runs like a top now. With the price of trucks today, I wouldn't be able to buy one now. Even tired worn out used up stuff is at a premium these days.
