will a colour raster Atari power brick transformer work with Battlezone?

I heard that Atari colour raster transformer power bricks are the same as the B&W vector power bricks.
Can anyone please tell me if this is true?

Also, is an Asteroids power brick the same as Battlezones??

I'm looking to replace mine as the tech working on mine thinks the transformer is hooped.

Thanks in advance!

Don't know who your tech is but the transformer itself is almost NEVER "hooped". The only parts that can die are the fuses, the diodes or diode bridge and sometimes the Big Blue capacitor, in that order of likeliness....

It's an over-simplification, but it's more or less truthy-ness . I would recommend against relying on generalizations, and instead consult the wiring diagrams of Battlezone and the donor game for certainty.

Nope.

Like Level42, I am suspicious of that claim. It's certainly possible for the xformer to be bad... but it's relatively unlikely.
