I have a (fully working) Wells 33K3301 I want to drop into a PiU GX, because a) the factory monitor isn't working, b) I want this game running ASAP, c) I want the factory monitor for a different project. (Kortek KT-3414DF, quad sync!!!)

In Andamiro's infinite wisdom, they ran the AC in directly to a 1:2 step-up transformer and then stuck everything (even the marquee light! blech) on the 230VAC secondary, including the monitor. Can this monitor take 230V like its little brothers or is the power section different?

I would tend to say no..unless you have schematics for the monitor that indicate otherwise for the power input.

Normally I wouldn't even bother asking, except the 27" U3000 spec sheet gives an input voltage range of up to 260V. My question is basically, does that spec carry over to the 33" version?

I think I just answered my own question. This says the 27K3003 and the 33K3301 use the exact same power supply (P756). The schematic for the 27" U3000 shows that the AC in goes directly to this board, and yes, it will take any voltage from 90V up to 250V.

tl;dr YES, a 33K3301 will run on 230VAC without problems.
