Wild Western = AWESOME!

I agree. Wild Western is a fantastic game. A few years ago, I was looking for a Front Line (which I love) so I could also put in a Wild Western when the urge hit. Someone had one for a GREAT price, but I passed because funds were tight and space was non-existant.

Still kicking myself... I love both of those games!!

Yeah, I like Wild Western:

Just picked this up recently from another KLOVer by way of a friend who was looking out for me. It still has the original Wells Gardner K4925 monitor in it. It has a tiny amount of burn where the railroad tracks are and where the info at the bottom of the screen is, but it's not visible when the game is on. The picture is perfect. I still gotta replace the crappy after-market joystick that lasted about an hour.

I just picked up a nice clean Front Line board set from dj dns. I never played or even heard of Front Line back in the day, but I've had too many people tell me what a great game it is. I did play Wild Western in the early '80s, but not a lot because it's a pretty tough game for a 10-year-old noob. I don't know how popular Wild Western was back in the day but I have read that most of them were converted into Elevator Action, so that may be why they seem to be relatively rare these days.

Nice score Sante! That game is on my short list of WTB within the year... Yours looks in good shape from the bezel and all and I see you have one of those aweful joysticks on there as well like my Front Line had....

The first time I played a WW was believe it or not, Dominicks grocery store. They also had a Frenzy and a Crazy Climber. Back to WW, I remember I was instantly hooked being a Front Line fan and all. If I recall WW was not as prevelant in the arcades as Front Line was. Definitely remember more Front Lines back then. Then there is Tin Star which is definitely the "do do bird" of the bunch....

My order of best spinner Taito's Front Line, Wild Western and Tin Star....

A big KLOV thank you to fellow forum member Kstillin who took a Taito board and some parts and turned it into a working Wild Western Board to (plug and) play in my Frontline. This game is awesome! Dare I say,the most underrated/underappreciated title of all time? Well okay I'm sure that'll start some lively debate. Very challenging and entertaining game. Glad to have the ability to play, even if only in another cabinet. Thanks Kerry! I would reccomend you to anyone without hesitation. A+!

Exactly why it was my first restore... Good to hear another one lives!
