Wild Gunman (from Back to the Future 2)

I just bought my gun assembly for this off sleezebay. Complete with all mounting bolts, $98 shipped. I need to change out my orange gun shell for a black one. Still need a cab too, but i'll find one eventually.

I wanna make one of these too... Awesome cab...

Awesome.... What kinda cab you gonna get..? I wanna try to make mine as identical as the one in BTTF... With the monitor more straight then the slanted one...

It was a regular old DK cab in the movie. So basically i will be making a playchoice conversion with a Wild Gunman marquee. The cab in the movie had playchoice side art. and a VS control panel.

I just purchased wild gunman pc 10 game... Im off to a good start... :)

I'm in the process of acquiring all the parts myself. Already have a cabinet that was converted. Just picked up a panel and light gun from ebay (waiting to hear that it's shipped). Now I'm looking for Wild Gunman and maybe a few more shooting games.

What are you doing for the marquee?

Out of curiosity would you make the marquee you made available so others can use it?

I know but the monitor in the movie is more upright then the monitors in the DK cabs... Its not as tilted back..

Could a Vs Dunk Hunt cab be used for this? I found a VS Dunk Hunt in my area that looks identical to one in the movie.. Ofcourse would have to be painted and fixed up and converted. But it has the straight monitor rather then a slanted one form a reguler PC 10..

That looks like a good one. And you could get VS. Wild gunman for it :)

There isn't a vs wild gunman. If there were we wouldn't be replicating one. And yes that is the cab you want. BUT if you watch the movie that is the wrong holster for the gun you want this one to be as close to the movie as possible.

This is the one I bought, just need to swap out the orange shell for a black one.

Yeah I would be replacing the holster and fixing up the CPO... I would also add another joystick because the one in the movie has 2 joysticks.. I already called the guy and left a message.. Hopefully he still has it... Thanks

That holster won't fit right on the control panel box, that's why I used the VS holster. If there were a VS Wild Gunman it would use the VS holster anyway. It also wouldn't have multiple games on it for use with the second joystick.

The movie used a duel monitor Playchoice cab with a 25" monitor, I used a DK style cab because it would be more accuate if there was a VS WG that would be the cab it would have used (or a dedicated Unisystem cab but that not what they used in the movie). You can do your cabs anyway you want, I made mine like this to make the most sense as far as actual arcade parts go, you could get atall Nintendo cab, a monitor converter board, mount a 25" monitor in it etc. If you want.

Are you sure that is a dual monitor cab? It doesn't look as tall as a dual monitor cab. But it does look bigger than a standard DK cab. Maybe a custom built cab for the movie?

I think it was a regular DK style cab. I paused, slow motioned, and paused some more. Judging by the speaker holes and the coin door style, I think it's definitely a DK style. The monitor does appear to be larger than normal though.

And it looks like the gun holster is a black holster off a gun belt (which plays nicely into the movie) rather than either the PC or Vs holster. I assume the belt loop is just screwed to the front part of the panel.

Thanks again for the marquee btw. It turned out great.

I think the reason the cab looks bigger is because there's only a hobbit and a 5'4" Michael J. Fox to judge by. :)
