Wild Gunman (from Back to the Future 2)

WOW! That thing is AWESOME!! I ALWAYS loved that part of the movie! Never even THOUGHT to make one though! That machine just went into my "GRAIL LIST".
Always thought it was an odd game for an 80's cafe to have as an example of "1980's video gaming" Of course it is in there as a bit of "foreshadowing" for the big gun duel with Buford in part III. And they do have that blue Pac on the other side of the cafe!
Can't say for sure, but I think in another 5 years, on October 21, 2015, there won't be hover-converted cars flying around, kids won't be wearing their pants inside out, and there won't be another 15 Jaws movies....
But on a good note, I recently hear Nike filed for a patent for power laces, fusion is right around the corner, and the Delorean is still a bad a$$ ride!
And in 5 years, who knows maybe your machine will be sitting in a "Cafe 80's" somewhere!!!
AWESOME JOB MAN!!!!

AWESOME JOB MAN!!!!

I was listening to the commentary on that movie and they said the laces and the sleeves on his jacket were done my people with wire below the street and behind the car just tugging on the wires really hard.

Awesome project. Now you need do the hover conversion to a Probe/Mustang/Tempo with ground effects.

I've wondered what projects could be done for games like this, what could have been, etc.. this would be hard to beat. I'd rather have this than a repro Starfighter cabinet running a PC game or something like that.

Wow! That is a very nice job. What about the blue cabinet Pac-Man on the opposite end of the diner. Its turned off and has a sign on it that says "Priceless Artifact DO NOT TOUCH" on it. Are you going to be doing one of those as well? Oh wait, I could just look on E-bay and find one. Seriously, though, that is a nice job. I also love the BTTF trilogy. Great movies. Not a big fan of the pinball, though.
Ha I knew reading the thread someone else would catch that. :)

Nice looking cabinet! I love BTTF as well. How about a custom cabinet just for playing the NES game? ;)

Thats really cool ! I always wondered what the story was about that cab . Back To The Future movies are some of the best movies ever made .

That'd be right up there with making a custom cabinet for Atari 2600 E.T..

Nice work on the Wild Gunman machine, though!

Watch the video, looks like a standard Nintendo cab. Not the 2 monitor version. The 2 monitor version has a different door. And it is quite a bit taller.

I know this thread is old. But I am going to build one of these just need to get a gun and holster parts.

I think the reason they used the two monitor version for the movie prop was so they could rig it up to mount the monitor flat and a little higher. How is the game play with the monitor tilted back like that?
