Wii U - Thoughts & Opinions now that it's been out for awhile?

That's a great deal but I got 3D world for my boys during Christmas and they've been playing since a couple times a week. It's the first traditional console game they have figured out so it's been a joy. I can't buy that time for $20.

I picked up Tekken TT2 over the weekend at BB for $12. It's not my fav fighting game franchise but the Tag versions are solid games. Until SSB comes out, this is the only decent fighting game on the system.

yeah it's totally a must have. It's less innovative from the 3DS version with the 3D puzzles utilizing the screen BUT having coop play makes it loads of fun on the Wii U.

Well, my local Wal Mart won't price match it because apparently 50 miles isn't close enough to be a local competitor... jerks. Driving 50 would only cost be about $8, so technically I could still save $12

Dude, it's a good game, but not sure it's a "drive 50 miles to save $12" good game. :)

Just find a comparable deal used on eBay or CL or just wait for another sale.

Yeah, I want it bad. I'm just bummed they wouldn't price match locally. I really need something else worth playing on my Wii U. I just haven't had time to start Wind Waker HD yet, and it isn't super high priority because I've already played it a bunch before.

Anyone have any feedback on The Cave and Duck Tales Remastered? My son is looking for an inexpensive game to hold him over until his birthday in April. Duck Tales looks sweet- I LOVED the NES version...

Duck Tales is ok. It looks nice, but it doesn't have the same charm as the original NES version, but you could have guessed that. At $15, it's worth it I suppose.

The Cave has it's moments, but it can be tedious at times. Not a terrible game, but don't expect it to be great.

Did you get NES Remix as others have mentioned? It's retro NES gaming, but in short bursts and there's enough variety to keep it interesting. You unlock levels and stamps as you progress.

Pretty spot on in both cases. Totally agreed. I didn't get too far into The Cave before I moved on to something else. I do want to get back to it though.

Thanks Jess- yep, mostly what I figured. No, I didn't get NES Remix yet, but I plan to. January/February are my travel months so not much time home for me to play. My sons aren't into it as much as I would be, so they don't want to spend "their money" on it.

Get unepic!!!

Saw this... he was kind interested in it. What about Trine 2?

Trine 2 is FANTASTIC!!! I love it. I got it when it was on sale for $7.50. That and Ducktales when it was also on sale.

I think I bought about five download titles and here's how I'd rank them:

#1 - NES REMIX
#2 - Trine 2
#3 - Unepic (this might be tied with Trine 2)
#4 - Duck Tales (this was kinda ho-hum)
#5 - Castlestorm (I really didn't like this)

Sweet- thanks. I'll probably have him get Trine 2 or Unepic.
