Wife's Scrapbooking Room Paves Way for Arcade Expansion

The main wall of our basement has been multi-tasking as my wife's scrapbooking area as well as my budding arcade habit... er uh hobby. She really wanted a space of her own - a retreat out of the main recreation space. It wasn't that she wanted to free up 35' of wall for my arcade - but that's exactly what has happened!

Here is a pic of the area of the basement in question before followed by pics of the storage closet we converted to her "Mom Cave."

I did the majority of the work, but she did the wallpaper accent wall, painted trim (assisted by our 11y.o. daughter) and we tag-teamed the laminate flooring. I am excited for her space - and mine!

As the arcade takes shape, those pics will be posted separately.

I used to install those white wire shelves as a second job during the building boom some years back. Thought they were junk. Glad to see you pulled yours out (in one refurb house I literally pulled out beautiful oak shelving to put that stuff in).

Birdie King, really? =)

Yes - Birdie King! Vastly under-rated - it was the first real golf game. It was my first arcade purchase in Feb 2011. I actually just sold it last weekend (Need to update my sig/VAPS).

That was always one of those titles I only ever saw in auction lineup pictures, warehouse shots and bulk buy pictures, never actually saw one in someone's gameroom before.

I do understand the early golf love. I played a whole lot of Vs. Golf back in my day.
