My wife's hooked on stained glass making and I managed to get her to do the next few projects in line with my hobby. Thought you guys might take interest a little.

This is her first evening of cutting.
I'll post more as she goes.

Glad you guys are liking it.

So after a few more hours today
and slicing off her fingertips after I made a color correction to the brown background, (I am not kidding! I watched her super glue them back on.) she has made some awesome progress:

yup that's my thoughts as well, wish i had a cool joust stained glass piece >.<

If there's enough interest and she's up for it, she might be influenced to do a commission or two.

Her next piece I conned her to do is a stained glass Tapper marquee. Stay tuned for that as I'll have her change to that before she does the blue joust knight.

That is awesome, can't wait to see it all finished and lit!

Kudos to her, that's a tremendous display of time and patience there.

Most people do not understand how difficult stained glass can be. Looks really good and a lot of intricate pieces. can't wait to see the finished project.

I thought of doing a stained glass pool light, arcade themed. I could not figure out how you would cut curves in glass, does it require a special saw?(post pic please) I only know the carbide wheel you score across and break.

You need a special glass grinding bench with bits.

Like this one:

She's gotten good enough to do most curved cuts with the carbide wheel and making minor adjustments with the grinder.

You also need foiling tape and a high wattage soldering iron with some thick solder and some sort of resin for it. If you ever need more info, PM me and I'll ask my wife.

That is incredible ! I have a feeling your wife could make some good money selling these things . I also love the tapper idea . I think a dragons liar would look great.
