So my wife decided to play a game of Mario Bros. today and ended up completing 24 levels...
Here is a picture of her score. She was proud - so I said I would tell people what a good job she did.

no shit, me too.

I get stuck around 165-175k
matter of if I point press or not to get to 175k. same levels always get me , lol.

she is good

I have to ask. What difficulty is your game set on? Did you put it on easy before she played?

Not trying to disrespect, just gotta know what kind of competition we're dealing with here.

Yeah, the difficulty definitely makes a difference. The local classic arcade has theirs set to hard (or hardest, not sure, never checked). You get the 2 green fireballs almost from the start, and I can barely break 100K. I was at Galloping Ghost last month and theirs must have been set to easy. Hardly saw any green fireballs until well into the game, and ended with 212K. I think around 150 is when the icicles start falling, which really makes it tricky. Still a great score, even if its on easy :D Incidentally, she just missed it, but when you reach level 25, the level flags in the bottom corner get screwed up and start showing garbage.

I can do about 114K. Think its phase 13 or 14. I only play it in MAME on my PC, though. Wish I had one. I don't care what everybody says, I don't like the widebody. I would rather have a blue DK conversion.

That was just a picture of her beaming because of her good score... If I wanted to get a reaction, "A PIC LIKE THAT" would be a picture like this...

Cripes man, I'd lock that little lady in the house and never let her out ;)

No way she's from WI. We don't grow 'em that nice here.

Thanks for the eye candy.
