I just ran across a wide body williams contact. I've never had a wide body so I'm looking for some input to keep it or not.

Nothing wrong with a good wide-body, I have 3 myself: Paragon, Devil's Dare, & Mars God of War. Another local has a Star Trek TNG (widebody) that every time I play is simply brutal. It all comes back to actual game play as like all pins some titles are better players then others. I certainly would not blame my poor play on ST:TNG being a wide body but rather because it's a game with plenty of challenges.

I've never tried a Contact but the duel-action flippers seem very interesting. I guess what I'm saying is try it out and see if you enjoy it as nobody but you can decide if you will like it or not. Unless space is a real premium for you (and wide body pins take up only a slightly larger footprint than 'normal' pins) I would advise you not pre-judge it based on physical size alone.

Do you like the game? Is it FUN? Then what does it matter if its a widebody???:confused:

I have a Paragon that I will never sell. I don't play it much as it's a little slow but it's a great basic pinball machine and the artwork is awesome!

I will never sell my Paragon either - it was my first pin and I find it excellent all the way around!

As for being slow, I used to be able to regularly roll the score over, but after I restored and cleared the playfield, raised the angle (back levelers all the way out, front all the way in) it played really fast! In fact, I had to lower the back a bit after some of my guests complained about it being 'too fast'...

What condition is it in?

Its pretty nice playfield has very little wear if any,Cabinet is good,Backglass ok. Everyting works and the displays are clear. Going to strip it down clean it real good and put new rubbers on it and go from there.

Cool! Post some pics when you are done.

I'm semi-looking for a non-restorable widebody to create a VP9/Hyperpin setup.

I like my stellar wars.. don't have anything else to compare it too.. but I like it alot...
