So I just bought 4 Wico grommets to place in my 4-player X-Men cab, but before I replace them I'd like to know if there's any kind of conditioning solution that would help preserve the rubber and possibly soften it a little bit.

Any suggestions?

I'd probably use some Elbow grease on it.

I can't think of anything else that won't damage the rubber.

Looks like a pretty strong consensus already. The reason I asked about a possible conditioning solution is because one of the grommets on my panel was actually ripped and it affected the function of the stick in a major way. I was trying to prevent that with these NOS grommets.

$15 is pretty damn good these days.. That's about what is sell them for or depending on how hard it is to get them I'll charge a few bucks more.

Does anyone know if these are still being produced? Or is it just old stock?
Once all the grommets go, we are shit out of luck.

Price? More than I'd like to pay. I kicked around buying these for a couple years......long enough to see them double in price with fewer suppliers. http://www.arcadeadventures.com/products/Wico-Joystick-Center-Grommet.html

I think mikesarcade was doing repro's, not sure they're replacements for these same Wico grommets. I think the measurements were different if I recall correctly.
