Am I to understand it's difficult to find these? I missed them at Bob Roberts and Mike's Arcade has something but the description says they're for an Atari trackball.
Will the one's at Mike's Arcade work, or do I need to make some?

Is yours the one that's in a completely enclosed case? Those are the Imperial/Betson style, the ones where you can see the encoder boards are the Atari/Happ ones. Open yours up and see if one of the 'shafts' is just a big wheel, I think that one you can't get anything for.

Here are the innards. I refurbished them but they are too far gone for my project.

Sorry man, I don't think I've ever seen those for sale anywhere.

The good news is though, you can just buy a replacement trackball pretty inexpensively.

Wow..

Yeah, I just went through a box of about 100 nos and used rollers of all sizes and metal types.. I only have (1) of yours.. Weird thing is, the bearings seem to be part of the roller? Or do they come off? The one I have is slightly used and the bearings roll smoothly.. But dont come off.. Weird

Yeah, you might just want to swap out that trackball for another..
What game is it for?

Thanks for looking in to all that local413. That's awesome.
This is on a dedicated Boot Camp.

I took this apart and attempted a restore about 8 months ago, and I was able to pull the bearings off all the rollers, with the exception of the one at the "focal point" (for lack of a better word). I got the bearings lubed fairly well and could probably find replacements for those if need be. The biggest concern is the shaft, which is of course worn so bad I don't get reliable tracking.

Don't get me wrong; the movement I have now is half-light years away from where it was, however the pits in the rollers prevent this from being the restore I want it to be. I think I remember seeing something about a different roller being cut with a dremel to make this style but i can't find it.
Anyway, I wonder if this is a point of pain should I just tool up an make a bunch?
I still have access to a lathe and could probably make some if others have a need. Who knows what the raw material would cost would be but it can't be that much.

Sending PM now...
I can use these as prototypes. I think I'll see about making a few sets just to see how difficult it is. I hope I have a thread cutter that's compatible with the threads on the hole the encoder wheel screws in to.
