why no zoo keeper repro bezels and marquees?

Bezel question
is the lighted instruction piece a seperate translucent red like say Jungle King?

Im fixin to finally run the JKs and could add ZK to the sheet.
its a start :D

I think bezels will only happen if the Marquees do well.

Anyone know for sure if Brian is still making the stencils? I see them on the site, yet I thought someone posted that they're NLA.

A scratch built ZK cabinet with all new artwork/parts is sounding fun..

As nice as that is, the original cabinet had the blue ink screened onto the orange painted MDF panels, right?

Just thought stenciling might look more 'authentic'

Ask Brian Jones (PROK) and Rich (Rikitiki) and search the forum. But all the detail in the side art makes it very difficult to stencil. Tons of weeding and very difficult to apply the spray mask.

Ive got several repros in the works. However I'm slowed by the pace of the printers I use who are overloaded. I may need to take on another printer but I prefer not to.

I'm also constantly reprinting stuff that sells which helps offset possible losses on risky new projects. Lets face it folks, the high volume art has already been done. Mostly anything new is of lower qty due to less demand and therefore risky, hence pre-orders.

I feel the preorder system I have in place works well. Very little ram-effect carryover, but its still there. Damn you Dave! However not everything new requires a preorder and almost all of my preorders offer a discount for getting in early.

It's not rocket science, but there's a reason we dont have dozens of guys in the repro biz. There's more work in it than you think and there is risk of thousands of dollars with each project. Run that by the wife and she how she reacts or wait til the first money loser you have and listen to what she says.

Haa haa... I remember when I brought in the first several cases of T-molding my wife about S***... Then she really S*** when I told her how much $$$$ I took out of savings to buy extra molding... Lucky for me it had a happy ending.

I've seen where some bezels with instruction cards have had the 'card' screened onto the glass (Arcadeshop Williams stuff?)

I thought that seemed hokey, but now that I think about it - If I bought a rescreened ZK bezel, I don't know how I could attach a card to the back of that, putting tape on that new ink..

Maybe it IS best that the card is always screened on..takes care of that issue.

I repro'd Robotron glass bezels with the instruction card on it because I preferred it over paper. Arcadeshop did his in paper and switched to screened after he sold out.
