Why no replacement flybacks for 4600s?

Because they almost never go bad. Sometimes the focus pot goes bad, but that can be replaced...

I pulled one off of another parts flyback I had around. Other than that, I dunno...

I think it's time for the 4600 flybacks to start going bad. I got a Pac man that had a 4600 with a bad flyback, took the one out my Frogger 4600 and it ran 8 hours and went bad. I found 2 used ones and so far so good but I am afraid time is running out for the 4600's :(

I asked Bob Roberts this question a while back and he stated the same thing Mod did. He said "They are rock solid".

Same thing with 4900's.

Well I got 2 that's only good for throwing like a rock, but I keep them for the focus pot's :D

So far, I've has two 4900 blow apart for no reason (besides old age)....never had a dead 4600.....yet.

I've probably had 50 4600's, and had maybe 2 of them that I couldn't get to work... even those I'm not sure if it was the flyback or not. Could have been something else, they're certainly BAD-ASS monitors. The 4900 kicks ass too. Love those things.

Well then take it up with Bob, That's what he told me :)

I put the WG4600 chassis Yoke wire wrong once, the flyback was smoking,I turned it off,put it back the right way,the chassis is still working .

You used to be able to get used 4600 flybacks from Todd (the guy that sells the $8 used power supplies). For the life of me I am having a major brain fart and can't remember his last name.
