We have been unpacking box after box of arcade stuff, and can finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

We were finally able to get in to fill the Pepsi machine today.

I am still finding game parts all over the house, in weird places. I should have it all rounded up and in place in a week or so. Here are some pics to show you what I am dealing with, due to my arcade addiction.

That's a pretty good sized collection of parts.

I love the use of awesome Redhook Brewery boxes. I used to live just a few miles from their Woodinville, WA brewery and went there all the time. Miss that a lot...

Is Mickey Mouse in need of some repairs and that's why he's on the test bench? <grin>

Heh, yep... moving sucks. I've got an attic full of monitors and a shed and basement closet full of parts... plus of course all the games in the basement and garage. Getting it all packed up to move here sucked, and then it took months to get everything somewhat arranged (er... years? is it arranged yet? ;) ). The garage was completely packed full of games (with overflow in the basement) and parts laying on top of all the cabs, as well as boxes of parts all over the living room.

Good luck on the final stretch!

I hear ya..
Just moved in December...luckily I have 24' enclosed car trailer.

We loaded up the trailer with nothing but vids and pins...closed late Friday...start unloading Sat.

The GF (who I bought the house with) had to leave the next day for an international business trip...she was gone for a week

That weekend was 3 trailers of nothing but vids, pins, bowers, skeeball...etc

I must say I have some incredible friends. Of all the stuff I have the biggest complaint was moving the Star Wars (stand up)..game is stupid heavy and awkward.

It amazing how much stuff ya find that you forgot about. My biggest 'find' was a complete Crazy Climber kit I had about a long time ago. I actually thought I sold it

I also found a bunch of cool pin and vid posters I completely forgot about.

Good luck!

Minnie is a dirty ho, and just laying on the test bench.

Pink walls, brown walls, paint splatter walls. Some really weird colors throughout this place.

Dokert I didn't even realize you were moving. Did you move far away or just a short distance? With all the moving, will you be able to put on your Halloween party again this year? I always look forward to seeing your set up.

Wire rack holds 10,000' of wire and there are another 30K or 40K feet of wire on the shelving unit.

Only moved 10 miles down the road. No Halloween setup this year, the front yard is way too steep of a hill. We are pretty bummed out about it.

I'll be (hopefully) doing this myself in a few months, as we look to to get out of the apartment/storage into a house.

But my experience in moving our shop/storage twice, as well as a lot of customers' stuff, should help me make it easier. The trick is to make sure you organize as you put it into the new place. At work, my boss is usually in a hyper hurry to get moved at the last minute so he can save money on a lease, and I get exactly two days to take about 20 truckloads of stuff from one place to another (including packing/unpacking and loading/unloading)...

You are going the easy route... apt to house. We went the much harder route of 3000 sq ft house to a 2000 sq ft house.

Trying to get it organized as it goes up is proving to be a bit difficult, but it is key.

My office is now in a bedroom, and I have two work areas. I am plucking all of the parts and tools out of the office right now.

:crying: Don't feel bad Dokert, I feel bummed too. Your display is amazing and I looked forward to it every year. Sorry you won't be able to do it this year but you have to do what you have to do.
