I can move my monitor 1 foot and it changes colors. I cant move in 180 degrees and it changes colors. I have 9 arcades, why is this arcade monitor doing this out of all my arcades??? thanks

Distortions like that are caused by magnetism. Its like shifting a compass around, it shifts with the magnetic poles of the earth. Some monitors are very sensitive to the shift and can cause distortions when doing so. My suggestion is using a deguassing coil when you shift the cabinet to another location. It might eliminate issues like that.

This has to do with the earth's polarity and this problem tends to be worse in the winter months. This summer, you may not even have a problem with it.

hmm, ok well. Do i need to buy a degaussing coil?? I just hate to spend 40 dollars on one. Can i get a powerful magnet and do the same thing??? thanks in advance!!

No. A permanent magnet is not a good idea.

Make friends with other local video game people... one of them will lend you a coil.

Ghetto methods include the "soldering gun" (not a little iron... a big-ass soldering gun) and the "drill" (corded, not a cordless). Obviously only cost saving if you already have one of those items... There was also a recent thread on repurposing a degauss coil salvaged from an old TV.
