I bought one for $150 about a decade ago, and it was probably the nicest one on the planet. It was truly flawless.

It's a repetitive game. Very few are going to make Xevious a priority to own. Hence, the value.

Awesome cabinet though. And I think the high score tunes are some of the best in classic gaming. (But man, does that gameplay music get old...)

I never liked Xevious and I always thought the cabinet was ugly.

it's a damn boring game. Check out Solvalou, it's a sequel and 800% more fun.

if someone wants it the bay area, there is a chance I can arrange to have it brought down. I know someone going up to portland in the next few days and driving back empty.

The funny thing about xevious is that it may not sell for much, but those that like it will pay $100-$150 for a working board. I think the last one I had I sold for $325.

Xevious was a huge hit in Japan. I would put it on Ebay and see if you get an international buyer. Chances are you probably won't but it's worth a shot. Those kinds of games are actually still popular there in arcades. They still make those kinds of games over there for arcades.

Why are so many early video games set in space or have screens with mostly black backgrounds? Because that was all the technology would allow until this game came out. It's a lot more groundbreaking of game than people realize.
