Doing this as a poll on my site since I'm wondering what the percentages are on the big reasons (space, spouse, $$$, etc). Please click your reasons on my blog/poll at...

http://mamezach.blogspot.com/

Also, if you wish, describe the details here on the thread. The poll is good because of the numbers it draws to collect the data. My last poll (consoles you owned) got a smattering of anecdotal answers on the thread, but over 220 answers to the poll on the blog. Starting to collect a nice amount of interesting data.

Also have added a new Arcade game wars....Galaga won the last one over Tempest, T&F and Centipede.

Space and money but mostly space. With 6 functional games, its starting to get crowded in here. We are in the process of buying a house at present. If that ends well, there will be tons of room for games. Unfortunately, the basement will need to be repainted from the ugly peach color that now adorns it. Not really a gameroom color.

I don't have room for a single game. My garage, den, and addition are all used for cabinet making, assembly, and storage. On top of That I just bought a huge compressor, trying to build a spray Booth, and I just purchased a 50" vinyl cutter.

Space, I can't fit any more games in my garcade and I'm having to use my Mom's garage for overflow. Luckily I got out of my storage unit.

Lets face it. Its always about the money.

If you have enough money, you can buy a nice building to fill with as many games as you want.

If you have enough money, you can find a female who will put up with your obsession.

If you have enough money, you can do anything you want.

Unfortunately, I'm broke. :(

My reason is that I just can't locate what I want within a reasonable distance. Everything seems to require a plane ticket.

It's all about the space. I have room for one more cabinet and potentially 2 more pins in my gameroom. The garage is full of projects and working games that don't fit in the house. Ditto for the storage unit.

I'd say space..i'm in Midtown NYC and fit a custom showcase cabinet + a cocktail...but its not enough! :) Looking forward to finally moving out of the city and into the burbs so I can start collecting dedicated classics and not have to have these dumb mame knockoffs but I have no patience..I figure i'm missing out on all of the fun and its killing meeeee

Freaking space. Can only do 8 pins, or, as it is now, 4 pins, 3 vids, 2 cockpits, with it going to 5 pins 3 vids 1 cockpit.

Of course, i have my eye on a damn 6th pin, not sure wtf i will do.

This sums it all up.
