why does my tube have this big color issue?

I am working on the fast freddie I just picked up.
It has a g07 in it.

Once I got it going I noticed a big discoloration on the middle right side of the screen.
Well since my main man chris25810 rebuilt me a g07 chassis (and it looks factory new)
I figured I would swap that bastard out and take care of the problem.

Well here is pictures of the screen with the newly rebuilt chassis on it.
No change. I haven't adjusted color yet, though I don't think that's the issue. I did turn the brightness way down to see if that would get rid of it.

You need to manually degauss the tube...

My buddy Dan (p1899m) has one of those big magnetic degauser's. Thats what you mean huh?

several hundred tries and I am bound to do it right one time huh?

looks like it's in need of a good degaussing. it's also possible that it has been damaged by long-term exposure to a large magnetic source and that discoloration will never go away.
