Why does my female Molex .093 pin not fit?

Yeah, that makes total sense. I end up with hundreds of these goddamn strip pins and it takes me forever just to prepare one to be able to use it. And then if you cut off too much strip it slides right through, if you don't cut off enough it doesn't fit. Seems like a ridiculous thing to sell to Arcade collectors. At least Bob Roberts had bags of separate pins and sockets. You could buy a bag of them and just crimp and go. You didn't have to spend an hour preparing each one to maybe be able to use.
Yeh, I was making some vid cables a few days ago and found that there are many different series of MOLEX/AMP connectors and many dedicated pin types even in similar sizes. You really need to match them up ... which is not that easy to do.

And yes, I also made the mistake on Digikey of ordering a batch of pins on a "strip". What a pain to cut. Only buy in a bag as singles.
This. Peter needs to use the bulk terminals not the strips. Those are intended for machine assembly.

You can buy the bulk terminals from Digikey.
Would need pics. If these are the strip pins, it's extremely tough to cut off enough material to make them fit. I bitched about this to Arcade parts and repair enough times but nothing really gets done about it. It's still tough to just order straight 093 pins that aren't on one of those terrible metal strips.
okay lets talk some sense here as this is not true. i sell both loose and pins on carrier strips and i do so by request and i have machines so i do have anything available on carrier strip. not every pin i stock i even sell on carrier because obviously people don't understand there is a difference in carrier strips: they can be connected by the back of the pin, between the pins and rarely on the back of the pin and the tip of the pin. ONLY carrier strips that are between the pins have insertion problems if you don't cut them off properly!!! all the other carrier strips don't require the pins to be cut off as you can cut or just bend 90 degrees and bring it back straight and they come off perfectly clean and NEVER have an insertion problem. customers request the carrier strip pins to save money and i only sell ONE model that has a carrier strip between the pins which i never recommend people buy them but i also have the same ones available loose so you NEVER have to choose carrier strips of any kind. Not always but as a rule Molex pins don't buy on carrier strips and AMP pins do buy on carrier strips as molex 85% of times use carrier strips between the pins while AMP 85% of time uses carrier strips on the back of the pins. i would bet that anyone that doesn't like pins on carrier strips don't because they used them with the carrier strip between the pins (which i agree they suck) and if your honest and try the ones that have the carrier strip on the back of the pins you will be perfectly okay with them and if there is a rare person that still doesn't like them then we have always offered loose pins for them all too so use them and stop complaining because that has always been an option except for one pin (excluding the few that only are offered in chain form period and no one can get them any other form).
