Oh hello fresh control panel.... From swiss cheese, to fresh metal and a mock up of controls. Simple two button setup will do! I'm going to be crucified for this I know.

Not a tempest cabaret! You are insane! ;)

But seriously, why not sell that cabinet? Lots of guys want a tempest cabaret.

Assuming the monitor is missing it is a lost cause. More vector cabs then monitors. Every time you buy a loose vector monitor a Space Duel that was working right before you bought the monitor cries out in pain.

A few reasons. One being is the monitor. Its a Phillips tube, complete with an eastern micro electronis chassis that I can't get a flyback for. Not to mention the wood was hacked up to make the monitor fit.

Honestly, the cp and marquee are the only things I am changing. Should someone reeeeealy want to change it back in the future (highly doubtful), they could. All the guts from tempest are gone anyway. Switching power supply, abortion of a wiring harness, its all there lol.

Basically I have a cabaret shell with a tempest marquee.

To answer the previous question about what cabinet to use, the #1 answer by a large margin is Joust.

It is already set up with 2 way controls and a button for each player. You only need to drill and mount an additional button for each player. Of the 4 Bubble Bobbles I have picked up (so far), 3 were in Joust cabinets, 1 was in a Robotron cabinet, but it had a converted Joust control panel.

Should do for a control panel :)

Might I suggest this stick instead? Since BB is a 2 way game I think you will enjoy it way more with a stick that can be set as a two way. I have these in one of my cocktails and it is pretty good for the price. It says Seimitsu on it, so I assume it is made by Seimitsu. If you want to go crazy get a Sanwa JLF or JWF and put a 2 way restrictor on it, but it seems excessive for a 2 way game.

I was thinking of going with those sticks but then i started looking at the lit up ones and he was out of the red led/red lit up ones. I might keep it 8 way though since it will be a mame setup. I was kicking led buttons around too... But I think with the reflection off the aluminum it might be too much.

Haha had help with the soft bends. A few guys at work are artists with this stuff.

Not sure if it would fit a joust actually.
