Why did Taito give more sequels to Puzzle Bobble than the Bubble series?

I'd still like to add the original, Rainbow Islands, Bubble Symphony, and Memories to my collection some day.

Never played Bubble Bobble in the arcades, but the NES version is probably my favorite game of all time.

I never considered making a Bobble arcade.

Now I need to find a board.

I was the same way at the beginning of this thread, but the game is way deep. Just like Mr. Do! There are so many things to do in the game.

A friend of mine and I BITD beat BB on the NES.
Took us forever. So awesome. I can hear the music now. Damn this thread.

Also, Puzzle Bobble is the awesome sauce as well. How can you say you hate cute dinosaurs?

If I could get my hands on a Taito Universal Cabinet I would have a dedicated BB cabinet. Easily.

Have had several that I could never get working 100%. They still go for 200-300 bucks!

I love that game. I think I'm going to make the tempest caberet I was given into a mini bubble bobble. Cp might just be big enough for the two joysticks and two buttons.

And yeah, I'd pay that for a working board pretty readily.

Just adding that I wasn't huge on Bubble Bobble at first either, but once it grabs onto you it's damn hard to stop playing. I've been playing casually over the last six months or so and can still only get to about level 20. Very underrated game as far as I'm concerned.

I thought that to, but I got bored on the 3rd stage and didn't realize all the depth. Give it another chance, spelling extra, chain reactions etc. Secret items and warps.

Lol, it was already raped into a karate champ conversion. Plus, its in my garage.... :::Flame suit on!:::

Monitor is a blown em201 that was cut into the surround to fit the vector bezel,Cp has been hacked up and drilled/bondo'd, wire harness looks like a mess.

Highest a friend and I could make it on one credit is level 25. I still haven't figured out how to get to the hidden levels. I thought you just had to not die up to level 10 but it must be more than that!

lol, so back to the wife, ya, its her favorite game, and I happen to love this game as well.....its my next dedicated cab project.

Anyone have some original BB kits parts they wanna sell me??

I wish I could find an empty Taito cab to do a BB. Right now it lives in my Contra cab, but I want to give it a proper home.

The Taito cabs aren't all that friendly to co-op play. I think it is best in a Joust or Defender cabinet.
