Full disclosure, I've never actually played any version of these games. I see them daily from different sellers on every platform. Is it a bad racer? Is it because they came out much later than others so they've survived? Did they just sit in theater arcades for years due to the movie franchise tie in? Why are there so many of them for sale?! Pricing is also all over the place.

Unrelated, the movies are awful.

And yes I know it's because family

I have 3 Fast and the Furious Drift machines for myself and 2 in an arcade. They are the most played. Everyone loves racing with someone. I finally sold my Rush as no one played them.

They were very popular when new and there are tons of them floating around is one reason. The second is that they are a PITA to keep running. (and I am a former PC tech) A lot of them came with the Microtel computers and and as time wore on they became unreliable and you can count on having to have the computers recapped frequently. You can replace the Microtel with a Dell and that helps but eventually you will need to recap the Dells also. And the Dells that you can use are getting harder to obtain and more expensive. Also one of the monitors that came with them can be a pain. There seems to be two different possibilities for monitors from the factory in them. I have several of them and Drifts and while I like the games and they earn decent, I truly have grown to hate working on them. Special shout out to the version of the software that boots to a message about hitting a key sequence to get into maintenance mode and if you do it, there seems to be no way back to booting normally again without a software reload. :) A lot of the Raw Thrills games from that era have the same issues but the newer games seem far more stable even though it is the same basic set up.

I have a pile of the full size Dell towers. Hopefully I will be good for a while.
I swapped out all the smaller desktop version Dells as those were getting funky too.

I have a set of Tokyo drifts, a single FnF (it's partner is in the back with a broken computer) in a location where I also have a pair of Crusin Blasts and the FnF and Drifts frequently out earn the Blasts.
