Whose Sanyo 20 EZ Flyback is better Arcade shop or Arcade parts and repair? Are they the same flyback or anybody have experience with using either good or bad let us all know.

I use APAR for flybacks. EZ20s are a case of "don't replace them unless they are bad" though. Although I've noticed an uptick in flyback failures in specifically punchout and mario bros machines, maybe 1983 was a bad year for sanyo...

I'm using an APAR flyback on one of my sanyos. Still going strong years later.

However, if your monitor makes an occasion "ticking" sound (and the screen flickers) after you install the new flyback...try turning down the B+ a volt or 2.

Cleared that issue right up for me.

I wonder if that'll solve the same thing on a med res. K7000. Something I can try at least .

K7000s have fixed regulators. you also don't want to use new flybacks on medium res K7000s. for those in the back that are like "OMG A WHITE KNOB FLYBACK! LET'S JUNK IT!" you're literally killing medium res K7000s. /tedtalk

Shouldn't really replace any flyback if you don't actually need too. But I guess that rule changes with GO7.
Yup part of my fix it plan for the 3 chasis I have is to hunt down decent shape white knobs ones and try those. Plus retry the one the old one I still have with a heavy coat of insulating epoxy.
Or wait until a proper replacement comes out.

And for the OP, unless it's proven NOS then APAR is always your best bet for new flybacks .
