So I've got enough monitor projects built up now that it makes sense to set aside a good part of a day to play around a bit. After talking with a few folks, I figured I'd throw this idea out there and see if it sticks.
What: Monitor repair party (thinly veiled excuse to get together and eat pizza and drink beer while broken monitors occupy space nearby)
When: This Saturday or Sunday, 1/29 or 1/30. Not sure yet. Any votes?
Who: Any KLOV'er in the Twin Cities Metro area (or crazy enough to drive there
)
Where: My basement shop, *lots of room, warm, and clean* in Osceola, WI (40 min from the center of St Paul / Minn.)
Why: Because I hate the Pro Bowl, and it's still to cold to sand and paint my Ms Pac project outside.
No, but seriously, I'd really like to do some networking. There's lots of cool people in this area with lots to share. Besides, I've got a TON of free pizza coming to me, so why not? Maybe 1 of us will get lucky and actually FIX something.
I've got 3 monitors that need cap kits, 1 that needs a complete rebuild, and 2 more chassis that need troubleshooting. Bring over your dead, dying or perfectly working monitors and we'll try to leave with more working than not.
Anyone up for this?
