I don't know much of anything about this but i have a friend with an old atari game that he wants to restore more than anything, i think he said it was crystal castles but the monitor looked like it was from a shooter or starwars or something lol. i took some pictures of the monitor and chassis but they're from my cell phone and in the heat of the moment i didn't even snap a pic of the front.... (i have very short short term memory lol)

He said he's had a few people look at it with 0 luck, the game plays blind when the chassis is hooked to the tube. i was thinking maybe Chad from arcadecup.com might be able to do it but i haven't contacted him yet.

hopefully i've provided some sorts of info and maybe some of you guru's can pull a bit more from my pics :D

There are very few games that monitor is compatable with. I don't think Chad works on them either. I will be buying one soon and I'd be willing to help as soon as I get mine sorted out.

So what game is this currently in?

i saw he had a amplifone so i figured i'd ask. he said he had a few guys check it out but they couldn't figure it out at all.

I keep wanting to say it was Crystal Castles but the monitor didn't look anything like that game, i have such a bad memory i'll be sure to ask him when i talk to him next.

i remember the monitor on the front being odd like it had a color plexi overlay or something on it that looked like cross hairs to a space shooter. the outside of the cab was white i remember that lol....

Star Castle, that's what it is!

OK, Star Castle has a color overlay that I can understand you mistaking for cross hairs.

Like I said, I will be learning these monitors in the near future and I can assist your friend then. If he would like assistance sooner just post that you are looking for assistance with a Vectorbeam monitor in the monitor section. Someone familiar with them should chime in to help.

sounds good, hopefully they see this post, but i'll make sure i add you to the list of people he should contact. he said he's in no rush as it's been sitting in "storage" (aka garage) for months.

pretty sure it was dedicated, i googled what the monitor/overlay looked like and that's how i came to the conclusion, there was just so very much going on where i was it was overload.

Just got an e-mail back from chad @ arcadecup, and it doesn't look like he's working on them :(
