Who's ready for sonic the hedgehog 4 next week?

I've been keeping an eye on it for some time now and will likely be getting it as soon as I see it. Too bad the re-release of Sonic Adventure was sort of a flop - I really loved that game.

I am as tired of sonic as I am of mario, why won't these characters just die off already? lol

Because, in the case of Mario at least, they keep appearing in good games. Sonic on the other hand...

I will keep buying Mario games as long as they are good. And they are.

I'm interested in Sonic 4. I will probably just stick with the Demo for now. I really hate download only, especially on stuff like this.

I will likely be picking it up on Wednesday for Xbox Live.

Picked up the demo tonight and promptly bought the full game once I was done with the first level. It looks good and plays similarly to the classic games. I don't know if I'd say it's as good or better by any means, but what I've seen is in no way bad, either.

But the casino zone does remind me how much I loved and hated the casino levels of the old days...

last one I played was genesis. But I have it on xbox live.

I havent even tried this demo. I cant get into sonic like I could as a kid. idk what it is.

I've never really been a fan of Sonic. Last Sonic game I even played was on the Dreamcast.
I was always more of a Mario fan, but really enjoyed Sonic 1 and 2. I played most of the others from that era but didn't complete another one until Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast, which I really enjoyed. Nothing since then has been all that great, though I though Sonic Rush on DS was pretty good and worked well on the dual screens.

I'll admit that I think I'm kind of feeling that was as well. $15 is bit much for this episodic title, but it's not bad by any means - just very short. There's still quite a bit to do in terms of collecting and time trials, though. And to be honest, I don't know that I'd finish it if it were much longer than it is...

I'm 2/3ds of the way through this and I'm pretty happy with it and think it's a huge step in the right direction for sonic. It does have some faults though.

The physics are a bit off but not so much they kill it or anything. There are some unsonic like moments like the moving wall section and the graphics could have been updated a bit more. And the biggest one is that they rehashed some levels from previous soic games. That was to be expected though. Over all I'm having a great time with it. If they fix some of these things for episode two we could be in for something really great next year.

The only really bad things are that it took 16 years and ended up being episodic rather than a full disc release. Sonic's back and it's about damn time.
