Who's kid is skhtc23

Oh come on. You're really letting an 8 year old bother you? "but... but.... he BUMPED POSTS!"

you've got to be kidding me.

I'm not the only one or can't you comprehend what you read.
It doesn't bother me as much as it is just plain stupid.

Manners and common sense don't appear when you turn 18. You are welcome here at any age. Some of your peers could and should learn from you.

+1, had no idea Hyde was that young, too busy reading the quality content things he posts to notice.

Umm..... he likes Limp Bizkit. What 8 year old should even be listening to that crap.

Noone of any age should listen to Limp Bizkit, they're awful.

Babs

Funny. The real babs called me tonight about a game I am selling on Craigslist. He even introduced himself as babs. Great this guy has my number now. Geeeez

Huh, Babs Emailed me the other day about a trade deal. Can I drop the game off at your house so you can meet him? :) (Kidding)

I'm all for kids getting interested in the games, but I think 18+ would be a reasonable requirement for a username here.

As one of several 16 year old members here who does not wreak havoc I feel I must protest as well ;)

And all I can say about this kid is that I do think he's trying his best. Sure, his message board and buying/selling etiqeutte is a bit off, but it's hard to expect that all to have developed at that age. I created my first Nintendo fansite when I was 5 and ran it until I was about 9, looking back on it most of it is absolutely horrendous, even the 'newer' stuff, but it seemed great to me at the time. I agree things may get too heated here between some members for someone that young to be witnessing but as far as his behavior goes I'd say that none of it is intentional and it's just from lacking the social experience most of us have. He really enjoys KLOV, and he consistently posts from school saying how the only thing he does all day is wait to get home and post here... I understand the concerns, but I think we need to realize that he's not trying to do any harm. Necroposting is annoying to most members because we've been around on the web for long enough to realize it's frowned upon... he hasn't been.

jesus, I thought I was considered "young" here at 28. :D

I don't ordinarily pay attention to usernames unless they're very frequent posters, but I noticed a trend lately where there's all these necro posts and I'm like "what are the odds of this shit?"

it like barely ever happened before. lol

Yes skhtc23 is WVhyerboy's son. I met him in person a couple months ago and he's a good kid. You'd be surprised just how knowledgeable he is on games. By talking to him I'd could tell that he truely does enjoy the hobby and my wife also mentioned it after talking to him while he viewed my collection. WV says he is always reading books and studying the forums. They recently got the Randy Fromm set so I wouldn't be surprised if he's read through that already. He also PM'd me on something last week but I didn't have it and we left it at that. He is really big into collecting marquees so if you have some for sale you may hear from him lol

I can vouch that Kerry PHYSICALLLY is more than 18. Mentally.... uh.... well lets get this thread back on track. KICK OFF THE YOUNG'UNS!!!!!

Alright, somebody post up something he's done wrong... I looked at his post history and didn't see anything out of the ordinary, other than him begging for free stuff. Most 8 year olds do that though, lol. Also I've seen full grown adult men do that on here, so that's not a bannable offense.

There was a reported post in the for sale section that I deleted. It was something one would find on a myspace or facebook; useless blathering banter. Not only in the wrong section, but the wrong forum. I kindly asked the user if he wanted to play to go use facebook and to keep the content on topic.

I find it refereshing that an 8 year old would show interest and would want to acquire the knowledge to repair machines, however, a kid needs to be a kid now and then no matter how mature they may be and that's fine and expected. This forum is not that outlet. There are plenty of places on the Internet that child can be a child.

I also as a 16 year old have to put my word in that people under 18 aren't all ignorant scumbags. I listen to 80's music, repair(and once in awhile play) arcade games. I think that I might not post too much on here but I try to be as helpful as I can when I do. There isn't a physical age switch that activates maturity, and people need to understand that.

Maybe an 8 year old shouldn't be posting on here, regardless of maturity, but you need to appreciate that those under 18 are going to keep this hobby alive after those who were in the 80's arcades kick the bucket and that we want to learn more than how to post photos to facebook or update our status to make it about every last little detail of our lives.

Would it greatly change your opinion of someone if you knew they were that much younger than you thought?

Moral of story: Why can't we all get along?

I never saw anyone call people under 18 ignorant scumbags.

I think the 18+ thing is more of a safety than anything really. It's a line drawn by society in a lot of cases. There are 18+ music shows, heck, there are 21+ shows. If something happens to an under age person, it can come out a lot worse than if that person were over 18.

I'm 24, and I remember being too young to do a lot of things. I still can't rent a car (one more year). I hope I contribute well enough to get along. By a lot of the guys standard here, 24 is still really young.

It was said before, most forums have a 13+ requirement when signing up. That has to do with the law (again, stated earlier)

Personally I don't have a problem with younger people on, but I think adult supervision is required.
