And by "strange" I mean rare, prototype, import, EM, hybrid, custom console cabs, one-offs - basically anything virtually unknown to the public at large and/or virtually unseen by anyone else. A lot of people seem to collect the classics, games of a certain era, games by a specific company, and/or games by genre. I can respect that, but I personally prefer to collect games that are somewhat off of the map, and I'd like to know if anyone else shares in this passion. And of course, if so, what they've managed to score!

California Extreme has a big row of prototype games every year. Since the show takes place in Silicon Valley, it's a great venue to see rare games, since many were made not far away. I'm not sure who owns the most, but that's a great place to see many of them in one place.

California Extreme is awesome...

...but it's not a personal collection. It's more like the sum total of all personal collections, put out for play once a year. I'm curious to see what finds KLOVers have made for themselves.

Of the people who currently post it has to be Scott. I know there are some folks who don't post here who have a lot of really rare stuff.

I tried to find a few oddballs and succeeded but I don't intend to have all my games that way since my basement space is limited and not all rare games are necessarily great players.

- Warlords CT (?)
- Bally Spectrum (~500-900)
- Gottlieb Eye of the Tiger (2-player EM Sinbad, ~730)
- Gottlieb Spirit (~1200)
- Gottlieb Quintette (~1200)
- Williams Congo (~2000)
- Gottlieb TX-Sector (~2336)
- Midway Gangbusters (?, EM gun game)

I'd like to add a Caribbean Cruise cocktail pinball (~377) as well as 4-player Demolition Derby island. I recently passed on an I, Robot but it was very tempting.

scott has all the protos and adding the big stuff like tank 8 and indy 8 makes for an impressive list of 1 of a kind stuff..

But ken and tj have a serious amount of weird stuff.. Only some of it goes to cax.. if you look at all the big and weird stuff at cax, its usually theirs. They collect from EM to modern games.. for example, this year they added the magical truck adventure to cax.. They also added a proto driving game(cant remember the name of it, it was next to the f355 challenge) that died on saturday..

I've got some unusual and semi rare stuff such as my Moppets. Also have a Street Football, UB-QB (Big redemption game), 1973 Sega Skill Digger, and a Lax rotary Prize redemption machine. I hope by the end of the year to have 5 Pirate Treasures up and running next to each other (None of which will be for sale.).
